I guess your performance is consistent with your 3DMark05 score (which is not that bad really, but BF2 is a very demanding game!).
I'm not really sure what kind of performance can be expected from a 6600 SLI config, though. You might want to compare your score with others (try the forum of www.nvnews.net or guru3d.com for example).

AFR does not work better than AUTO on battlefield2!! why??thx in advance!!
which model is suitable to BF2?? I tried all model, but no one worked well??My english is not good hehe!

If you don't get any improvement by SLI you're either using the wrong profile or the game is actually not limited by the graphic card but by the processor and memory.
Sorry, I can't help you much more with BF2 since I don't play that game myself...

your 3Dmark score is somewhat lower than what i would expect on dual 6600gts , but anyway ..
BF2 already has a SLI profile no need to change anything.
- now in the game settings set all graphics options to medium & see what happens . dont set anything to high!
- make sure v-sync is disabled
- if your framerate is still low change the following :
set Dynamic Lights to "low"
set Dynamic Shadows & Shadows to "low"
also you might need to install the new 77.77 drivers.
hope that helps.

The auto is AFR actually .. no need to change it.
BTW is that 6600 standard or GT ?? i'm kinda confused. but still your avarage framerate is too low. something must be wrong hmm ..
what do you have the AF set at ?? & what do you have the Image Quality set to?
& what do you get when you set everything to "low" ?

Taken from http://dlx.gamespot.com/pc/battlefield2/moreinfo_6127244.html
- Recommended Specification:
CPU: 2.4 Ghz
RAM: 1 Gb
Video Card with at least 256 Mb of RAM
6600s only have 128 (even in SLi, the memory is mirrored not striped... if i may use a RAID term) I'd suspect that's the issue.
Play with settings to find what's right for you. best of luck!

Could anyoe tell me how to reconize whether the game is supported by sli!!
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
Battlefield 2 is for sure.
the easiest way to tell if a game is supported by default is to go to: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_game.html

Thx again!!!

it's generally a good idea to keep games up to date. also turn on the load balancing (it's the other check box where ou turned on SLi)
if the graph stays centered then SLi is working and balancing the load. if it drifts to top or bottom then it's not working correctly and you may need to update drivers. if you don't see it at all then you've either got SLi disabled or you have it set to SLI-AA (check to make sure you default global setting is set to auto)

let me make some pictures...
edit: ok made them here you go
This is how it should look (this is half life 2, but BF2 should be the same). the two vertical green bars should both be about the same distance from teh midline.
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/5392/hl2healthybalance7eq.th.jpg (http://img363.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hl2healthybalance7eq.jpg)
also, how are you determining performance?
verloze
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
I dont know why i could not see the picture!!
"the two vertical green bars should both be about the same distance from teh midline." When i run hl2, one green bar's distance from teh midline is short!! the green bar chang slightly from time to time!
When i run warcraft3 or bf2, the one vertical green bars' distance from teh midline is the longest. but the green bar dont chang any time!!!
The midline also changed all the time!!!
The longer distance from teh midline, the better the performance of game is?? I am so sorry that i troubled you so much!!!
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
huh... odd... that means you are using SFR instead of AFR. is the green midline staying somewhere near the middle or is it goint to the very top or bottom of the screen.
no need to apologize, all i'm doing all day is sitting n my butt anyhow... should get a job but meeh.
verloze
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
I changed model to auto, not SFR!!
The longer distance from teh midline, the better the performance of game is?? ??
yes my green stays someway near middle ,top or bottom!!
You are seeking a job??sorry, my bad english!! good luck !!!
If i have enough money, i should buy 6800GT*2!!HEHE
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
evidently auto defaults to SFR on those.
SFR works by splitting each fram in half. vid card 1 renders top half, 2 renders bottom. the green line moves to show where the split is.
AFR works by each card rendering alternate frames.
so if it stays near the middle during SFR then SLi is working. it could be the bottleneck is your processor, but i dont' think so. try changing from auto to AFR for those two games. make sure your global settings is auto. if that doesn't work try single card.

January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
ok!! i try it again, but nothing happens!!
Two vertical green bars show what??
Do you think which fps should be in HL2 or BF2 for my setup??
Hope you to find a good job as soon as possilble!!^o^
you are so kind!!!^o^
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
the two vertical greenbars show the load on each video card. I'd imagine somewhere over 30 fps. although witha 3200+ you might be hitting a bottleneck with your processor... my space bar seems to be dieing... *has to pound on it.*

hehe.thx!!! Thanks for your help!!!
I also found that the middleline also is below the middle!!hehe
I have no idea to improve it!!
could you introduce me some forums?
i want to improve my bad english!!
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
is it really far below? cause it's most often a little below.
verloze
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
yes!! the midline is far below, when i run bf2 or warcraft3!!
When i run doom3, there are no vertical green bars and the middline stands middle!! how about your performance about bf2, hl2 and doom3??
JetPig

thx!! could you introduce me some forums??? i want to improve my bad english hehe !!! Some people said that my cpu should be overclocked??how??
JetPig
January 1st, 1970, 01:00 AM
overclocking is something that i don't know how to do. also it can be quite dangerous. it involves making your CPU run faster than it was designed to. if done correctly you get a CPU that runs faster (saving you money on buying something that came faster). if done incorrectly you get an unstable system. if done VERY incorrectly, you get a fried processor.
you shouldnt' need to overclock. did you update drivers? how did that go?
