Was running the latest driver for 7950 GT card on XP Home. Uninstalled it and went back to 186.18 version. Everything looks fine but no Nvidia Control Panel in sight. Opened the XP Control Panel showing is the Nvidia nView Desktop Manager File. Double clicking on it brings up the RUNDLL Window Error loading C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\nView\nvwdmcpl.dll Any ideas how to fix this?

Have you checked the normal control panel window if it's there? Sometimes nVidia's control panel doesn't show up in the desktop's context menu, where most people are looking for it.

I uninstalled the 186.18 driver and reinstalled the 191.07 and got the Nvidia Control Panel restored. The icon again appears in the desktop task tray and it appears to be functioning properly. I wanted to use an older driver so I could install an earlier version of nHancer. I am unable to download .NET Framework beyond version 2.0 so the latest nHancer version will not install. Microsoft Tech Support told me that with XP I really did not need Framework version 3.0 or 3.5 because it was primarily directed towards Vista and Windows 7 users.

Doubt that the people sitting on the free support lines even got any MS Certification.
@ the OP, did you try the Download Center for a redist?

Yeah........ ms certification matters..... lol
Of the times i've had customers contact MS for help, they have wound up more confused and in deeper shit.
Which is why i now make it known that i provide follow up support. People would rather talk with someone who can respond on their level, then a certified idiot who can only offer assistance out of a guide book.
CERTIFICATION MEANS JACK SHIT IN THE REAL WORLD.
Experience it trumps it every time.
